Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is an acclaimed American actress. She's appeared in many films and TV shows like "Christy", a drama about a young woman known as Christy Huddleston. Her other roles of note include the title role of The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin was the daughter of an employee of a department store and a kindergarten instructor. She began acting as a child at the age of seven. her Aunt, who was an nanny for Michael Landon's household, assisted Martin to be in the TV show Father Murphy. Her professional career began following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of roles both in the television and film industry. Martin is, in addition to being an excellent actor and dancer, she is also an accomplished ballet photographer. Martin is the mother of two and the official spokesperson for Lupus. After her 19 year old sister's passing Martin has been trying to educate people about the disease.
