Kyra M. Sedgwick (born Kyra Minturn) is an American TV personality and actress. She has a large following in America and around the world due to her performance as the an actress in the TV Series 'The Closer.' Sedgwick was first interested in the arts, Broadway, and acting when she turned 12 years old. She had been introduced to Broadway by her mom who was an avid Broadway enthusiast. Sedgwick was the first professional acting part at age 16 when she appeared on 'Another World,' a TV show. She had a desire to be a renowned actress, not small television part that attracted Sedgwick initially. In the movie "Born during the 4th of July" with Tom Cruise also starred, she was noticed for the first time in a large screen.
